Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 27, 2026
After Life Care Hub is operated by After Life Advisors LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use afterlifecarehub.com, including Find Care, Request Help, provider directory, provider claim and membership, account, checklist, and related services.
1. Information we collect
Browsing and Find Care. You may browse and search the public directory without creating an account. Like most websites, our hosting and security systems may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, requested pages, and security or diagnostic logs.
Request Help. If you choose Request Help, we collect the information you voluntarily submit so we can understand the request, identify potentially appropriate providers, administer the matching and review process, communicate with you, and allow approved providers to contact you. This may include contact information, location or ZIP code, requested service category, timing, and information you enter in the request. A Request Help submission is not a public directory listing.
Provider directory and claims. We may create limited unclaimed business listings from sources that permit directory use. Before a listing is claimed and activated, the public page may be limited to information such as business name, service category, city and state, source attribution, and claim status. Source contact information and other nonpublic fields may be stored separately and are not necessarily included in the public page or default public API response.
When a business representative submits a claim, we may collect business contact information, role and authority information, selected verification method, verification notes, consent records, plan interest, profile information, service categories, service areas, and other information needed to administer the provider relationship. Claim approval does not by itself mean a provider is verified, a paid member, or eligible for family-request routing. Businesses may request correction or removal of an unclaimed record without purchasing a listing.
Accounts and provider profiles. If you create or receive an account, we process account identifiers, contact details, authentication information, profile information, and activity needed to provide account and provider functions.
Payments and memberships. Membership payments are processed through Stripe. We use payment, customer, subscription, transaction, plan, and status information needed to administer memberships, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and access. We do not need to store your full payment-card number on After Life Care Hub to administer the membership.
Email and communications. We process email addresses and related delivery information to send transactional messages such as Request Help confirmations, provider notifications, account and onboarding messages, approvals, membership communications, and operational notices.
Location and third-party services. We may use location, mapping, address, or place-search services, including Google Places functionality, to support directory search, provider information, service-area matching, or related features.
2. How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the site; provide Find Care, Request Help, provider, account, and membership services; match and route requests; communicate with families and providers; process and administer payments and subscriptions; prevent fraud and abuse; troubleshoot and improve the platform; maintain records; enforce our terms and provider standards; and comply with legal obligations.
3. Request Help and provider sharing
Request Help is designed to reduce the work families must do to locate appropriate resources. Information from a Request Help submission may be reviewed and shared with eligible providers when needed to facilitate the requested connection. Approved providers may then contact the person who submitted the request directly. We do not publish the Request Help submission as a public listing. Provider participation, verification, membership, matching, or introduction does not guarantee provider availability, response, quality, pricing, suitability, or outcome. Families remain responsible for deciding whether to engage a provider and for independently confirming credentials, licensing, insurance, pricing, availability, and suitability where applicable.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential technologies needed to operate, secure, authenticate, and maintain the site and user sessions. WordPress and related services may set cookies for login, security, preferences, or similar operational purposes. Optional analytics technologies may be introduced to help us understand aggregate site use and improve the service. When optional analytics are enabled, this policy and any applicable notice or consent controls will be updated to reflect the implementation.
5. Analytics and measurement
We may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand site traffic and important service funnels, such as use of Find Care, Request Help, provider profiles, provider applications, and membership checkout. We do not intend to send names, email addresses, phone numbers, free-text Request Help messages, or similar personal submission content to analytics services. Analytics should be configured to measure events and aggregate behavior rather than the sensitive details of a family request.
6. How we share information
We may share information with eligible providers as necessary to fulfill an approved Request Help connection; payment processors such as Stripe; hosting, email, security, mapping/location, and technical service providers that help operate the platform; professional advisers where appropriate; and government, legal, or security parties when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, users, or the platform. We do not sell Request Help submissions to unrelated businesses for their independent marketing.
7. Provider listing status and verification
Directory listing, claimed status, verification, membership, Founder status, search placement, and Request Help eligibility are distinct concepts. Inclusion in the directory is not an endorsement or guarantee. Our published Provider Standards and other provider disclosures provide additional information about these distinctions.
8. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate operational, contractual, payment, fraud-prevention, security, dispute-resolution, recordkeeping, and legal needs. Different categories of information may have different retention periods. We may retain certain records after account closure or deletion requests when reasonably necessary to meet legal, security, payment, fraud-prevention, or recordkeeping obligations.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed to protect information. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Users should protect account credentials and contact us if they believe an account or interaction with the platform has been compromised.
10. Your choices and requests
You may contact us to request correction, access, or deletion of personal information associated with you, subject to identity verification and applicable legal, payment, fraud-prevention, security, dispute, and recordkeeping requirements. Providers may also request correction or removal of eligible unclaimed directory information without purchasing a membership.
11. Children
After Life Care Hub is not intentionally directed to children, and we do not knowingly seek personal information directly from children through the platform. A parent, guardian, or other responsible adult should submit requests involving a minor.
12. Third-party websites and services
The site may link to or interact with third-party websites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage users to review those policies before providing information directly to a third party.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform, services, vendors, laws, or operating practices change. The updated date at the top of this page will identify the current version.
